This is an Ancient Roman Fibula Bow Brooch, c. 1st century B.C. – 1st century A.D. An unclassified bow brooch originally from Austria, but discovered in Norfolk. Provenance: ex-Hampshire Family Archaeology Collection acquired between 1980-2000. Reference: Richard Hattatt, “Brooches of Antiquity”. The artefact is in fine condition and measures 46mm long.
