These are three Roman Military Buckles, c. 300 A.D. Three lightweight buckles used to fasten armour of lorica segmentata type; one with a rectangular sheet plate ending in a single hinge loop, one with a with a second integral bar and one D-shaped. Provenance: from an old Cheshire Collection acquired prior to 1950. The artefacts are in fine condition and measures 20mm and 29mm long.
