This is a Tabwa Tribal Ancestor Figure, Democratic Republic of the Congo, early 20th Century. A wooden carved male figure standing, legs bent on circular bases and with numerous scarifications. Provenance: From the late Brian Morley Collection, 1950s. The artefact is in very fine condition and measures 445mm tall.
