This is a Greek Bilobate Arrowhead, c. 550 - 250 B.C. A lanceolate bilobate head, angled blades, medial flange, medium length socket and with a spur. The bilobate arrowhead type was introduced to the Greeks (and Persians) by the invading Cimmerians and Scythians, c. 690 - 630 B.C. Cf. Petrie Tools pl. XLI 135. Provenance: Property of a North London gentleman; acquired on the UK art market. The artefact is in very fine condition and measures 33mm long.
