This is an Islamic Oil Lamp, 12th century A.D. A blue/green glazed ceramic oil lamp with an oval body, one end pinched to form a nozzle; looped handle to the back and the foot forming a wide dish. Provenance: Ex. M. Peters Collection, Salisbury. The artefact in fine condition (chips to the foot) and measures 76mm high x 81mm diameter across the handle.
