This is an Acheulian point/knife from the Lower Palaeolithic, 600 - 700.000 B.C. A large partially bifacial brown flint point/knife worked to a point. The artefact was discovered at Le Grand Pressigny, in the Southern Touraine region of the Loire Valley, France. Provenance: from an old French Collection. The artefact is in fine condition and measures 102mm long x 58mm wide x 22mm thick.
