This is a Bronze Age Socketed Axe, 2nd millennium B.C. Bronze Age socketed axe-head with tubular body, decorated on both sides with a simple ‘V’ shaped design and featuring a corded band around the socket. Provenance: Property of a European collector; formerly in an old collection formed in the 1980s. The artefact in fine condition and measures 114mm long.
