This is a Bronze Age Socketted Axe, 2nd millennium B.C. A bronze axe-head with tubular body and thickened rim, teardrop-shaped opening to the shaft. Provenance: Property of a European gentleman living in London; acquired on the UK art market. The artefact is in very fine condition, weighs 180 grams and measures 105mm long.
