This is a Bronze Age, Hallstatt Culture Bracelet, Central Europe, c. 800 - 500 B.C. A heavy penannular bracelet or armband of round section decorated with sets of fine lines. Provenance: Private Derby Collection, collected 1950s. The artefact is in fine condition and measures 105mm diameter x 12.5mm thick.

Hallstatt culture developed from the earlier Urnfield culture, and would progress into the later La Tene culture, which is often called Celtic.
