This is a carved sandstone plinth from North West Frontier Province, 2nd - 3rd century A.D. A carved stone plinth, Gandhara School, with a series of six deities within arcaded architectural surroundings. Provenance: from an old Cheshire Oriental collection formed before the 1980s. Some natural weathering but otherwise fine condition and measures 80mm x 300mm x 120mm.
