This is a gilt bronze Tibetan Buddha Shakyamuni, 19th century. A Buddha Shakyamuni statue seated in dhyana asana or meditative pose, the legs are crossed, closely locked with the soles of both feet visible and seated on a double lotus throne with rounded lotus petals. Provenance: from the William Kearney Collection. The artefact is in very fine condition and measures 105mm tall.
