This is an Indus Valley Mehrgarh Painted Bowl, 3rd millennium B.C. A bowl with gently waisted walls, shallow foot and remains of painted motifs to the outer face. Provenance: From an important deceased Japanese collector, 1970-2010. The artefact is in good condition (repair to a crack) and measures 75mm tall x 100mm diameter.
