This is an Indian Hindu Carved Ivory Statue of Krishna, c. 1800s. A carved ivory statue of Krishna seated in meditation holding a string of beads on a lotus flower throne including carvings of a cow and horse displayed on an ebonized socle. Provenance: Property of a Chichester collector; from her family's private collection. The artefact is in very fine condition and measures 240mm tall including the base.
