This is a Burmese hardwood fly whisk handle, 19th Century. A tapering handle with a stylised peacock feather decoration and lotus flower decoration to the underside. Provenance: from an old Hampshire Ethnographical Collection. The artefact is in very fine condition and measures 260mm tall.
