This is an Indian Bronze Figure of Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, fortune and prosperity, 18th-19th century. A bronze figure of Lakshmi standing on an integral decorated plinth base, and holding two lotus flowers, clad in a long dhoti tied at her waist with a sash, her upper torso adorned with necklaces, and her arms with armlets and bracelets and wearing a feather and flower crown. Provenance: Ex Private Surrey collection. The artefact is in very fine condition and measures 282mm tall.
