This is a framed display with a brass label of two large Lower Palaeolithic, Middle Acheulian (Homo erectus) brown flint tools from Longham Pit, Dorset, c. 300,000 to 200,000 B.C. The display contains a large flake tool and a pick. Provenance: ex- Arthur Halcrow Versage Collection, Reigate, Surrey. There are no alterations, restorations or modern re-chipping. The display weighs 3.2kgs and the frame measures 440mm x 390mm.
