This is a Kushite Stone Spear Head, 1750 – 1450 B.C., Northern Dongola Reach, the region of Nubia, New Kingdom period 1550-1070 B.C. A pecked and ground spear head axe probably made for symbolic purposes, rather than being used as a hunting tool or weapon. There are no alterations, restorations or modern re-chipping. Provenance: ex- German collection (Hamburg). The artefact is in very fine condition and measures 94mm long.
