This is a Neanderthal (Levalloisian) End Scraper carefully worked from a brown flint. This artefact shows evidence of utilization. The artefact is from Bergerac, Dordogne, France and dates from approximately 40,000 B.C. Provenance: Ex-old French collection. The artefact is in very fine condition and measures 51mm x 31mm.
