This is an Ancient Persian Bronze-Age Sword, circa 12th to 10th BC, with a tapering ribbed blade, from the Talish area of Northwest Iran. Provenance: from an old Cambridge collection. The artefact is in good condition (tip of the sword is missing and has been bent. Possibly a deliberate act in antiquity) and measures 455mm long.
