This is a Neanderthal Point/Awl worked from a grey/brown quartzite. This artefact shows evidence of utilisation. The artefact is from Le Grand Pressigny, Touraine, France and dates from approximately 80,000 - 40,000 B.C. Provenance: Ex-old French collection. The artefact is in very fine condition and measures 70mm long x 38mm wide x 21mm thick.
