This is an Early Anglo Saxon Lidded Pottery Bowl, c. 6th Century A.D. A clay bowl with a squat globular body, everted rim, a horizontal linear decoration around the body and the underside, a wide rimed rounded base, a plain lid with a rounded rim and a circular handle. Excavated in Suffolk. Provenance: ex-Amanda Barrie Collection. The artefact is in fine condition (some chips to the lid rim) and measures 135mm tall (including the lid) x 135mm in diameter.
