This is a Medieval Iron Crescent-Shaped Axehead, c. 13th-14th century A.D. An iron Axehead with a thick rectangular-section blade, curved edge and D-shaped section socket with elongated slender neck. Provenance: Acquired 1971-1972. From the collection of the vendor's father. Property of a London, UK, collector. The artefact is in fine condition and measures 225mm long.
