These are two Anglo-Saxon Spindle Whorls, c. 7th - 9th century A.D. Two cast biconical lead spindle whorls with large central hole and both surfaces displaying a line and dot decoration. Provenance: from an old York Collection acquired prior to 1950s. The artefacts are in fine condition and measures 30mm and 27mm in diameter.
