This is a Roman Bronze Hairpin, c. 2nd century A.D. County of find spot Lincolnshire. A bronze hairpin with a globular head, circular in section, shank is intact and tapers towards the distal end. Provenance: from an old Cheshire Collection acquired prior to 1950. The artefact is in fine condition and measures 115mm tall.
