These are two Ancient Roman Brooches, c. 1st Century A.D. Two small bronze Langton Down brooches from Studland, Dorset. Provenance: from an old private Bristol Archaeological Collection, acquired in the 1970s. Reference: Richard Hattatt, “Ancient and Romano-British Brooches”. The artefacts are in fine condition (pins missing), and measure 21mm and 22mm long.
