This is a Punic Pottery Jug, 1st century B.C. A buffware slip jug with a single strap handle, a swelling ovoid body, flat base and a ribbed body from the Ancient Carthaginian colonies of Tunisia. Provenance: From a private Museum collection of the late Mr. Brian William Hooper. The artefact is in very fine condition and measures 132mm tall.
