This is a Roman Pottery Jug, 1st century B.C. – 1st century A.D. A buffware jug, a single strap handle, a swelling ovoid body, circular rim and a flat base. Provenance: From a private Museum collection of the late Mr. Brian William Hooper. The artefact is in fine condition (chip to the rim) and measures 188mm tall.
