This is a Danish flint sickle of crescent form constructed from faceted amber flint and belongs to the Late Dagger Culture c. 2400-1800 B.C. A crescent-shaped flint sickle with convex rear and front edges with the primary flaking surface still visible on the back. Found in Ulbjerg, Jutland. Provenance: From the family collection of a South East London collector; formerly acquired in the late 1950s. The artefact is in fine condition and measures 64mm long.
