This is a matrix displaying a fossil Populus wilmattae Leaf and a Betula sp. (Birch) together with other partials from the Eocene Age, Green River Formation, Uintah County, Utah, U.S.A. The matrix measures 135mm x 90mm. The Green River Formation holds one of the world’s richest deposits of fossil leaves, plants, vines and aquatic vegetation. From an old Bristol paleontological collection.
