Late Neolithic/Early bronze Age Decorated Single-Handled Cup, 4th-3rd millennium B.C. from Central Europe. A ceramic cup with a bulbous body, narrow shoulder, everted rim, strap handle and fingernail impression decoration. Provenance: from an old Carmarthen Collection acquired prior to 1930. The cup is in fine condition, complete with no restoration, some chips to the rim and measures 102mm tall x 134mm diameter across the handle.
