This is an Upper Palaeolithic Solutrean Industry Knife Blade, c. 22,000 to 17,000 B.C. A triangular shaped blade, finely worked along two edges in a light grey flint. It was discovered at a site in the Dordogne, France. Provenance: an old Dutch collection acquired in the 1930s, then from the Petra Berhout Collection. The artefact is in fine condition and measures 65mm x 45mm x 7.
