This is an Upper Palaeolithic Solutrean Industry Arrowhead, c. 22,000 to 17,000 B.C. A finely worked leaf shaped, light red chert bifacial point. It was discovered at a site in the Dordogne, France. Provenance: an old Dutch collection acquired in the 1930s, then from the Petra Berhout Collection. The artefact is in fine condition and measures 37mm x 19mm.
