This is an Old Babylonian administrative document from Mesopotamia, c. 1900 - 1600 B.C. A half terracotta clay tablet with Cuneiform text on one side, plain on the reverse. Provenance: From an important collection of classical and Near Eastern seals, formed in the 1970s-1980s. Acquired from a London auction. The tablet is in good condition (this is a half tablet) and measures 43mm x 40mm x 21mm thick.
