This is a Byzantine Oil Lamp, 5th century A.D. A ‘frog’ type ceramic oil lamp, buff oval body, the spout forming a channel to the top with bands of horizontal lines. Provenance: Ex. Private Collection of Michael Green. The artefact is complete, no repairs and in fine condition and measures 86mm x 73mm x 40mm tall.
