This is an Ancient Greek Attic Echinus Bowl, mid to last quarter of 4th century B.C. A bowl created from a light orange-brown fine clay, black gloss all over, wide ring foot, with convex exterior, seven stamped palmettes clustered around centre, a shallow body with low rounded wall and incurved rim, rounded on top. Provenance: From the family collection of a London collector; formerly acquired in the late 1950s-60s. The artefact is in fine condition (two chips to the rim) and measures 60mm tall x 180mm diameter.
