This is a Hellenistic Pottery Oil Lamp, c. 330 B.C. A terracotta oil lamp with curved walls, no handle, short spout and the top of lamp has been impressed around a large central filler hole. Provenance: from the G H Freelander collection, formed in the late 1970s. The artefact is in very fine condition (as found when excavated) and measures 80mm long x 70mm wide x 39mm high.
