This is a Hellenistic Pottery Oil Lamp, c. 330 B.C. A terracotta oil lamp with curved walls, no handle, an elongated spout and the top of lamp has been impressed around a large central filler hole. Provenance: from the G H Freelander collection, formed in the late 1970s and acquired from J. Zadok & Sons, Jerusalem with original certificate. The artefact is in very fine condition (as found when excavated) and measures 86mm long.
