This is a Greek Hellenistic pottery spindle flask, c. 4th - 3rd Century B.C. An un-glazed perfume flask with an oval body tapering to a wide flat foot, the is neck tubular with a well-formed lip rim. Provenance: From an old Canterbury collection formed in the early-20th Century. The artefact is in fine condition (some chips to the rim and foot) and measures 115mm tall.
