This is an Ancient Greek Blackware Pottery Oil Lamp c. 400 - 350 B.C. A small ceramic oil lamp, squat in form, round body with a wide circular base, an open oil basin, and a short wick spout. Original black glaze now oxidised and worn and now appears dark brown. Provenance: Ex Private Birmingham Archaeological Collection. The artefact is in fine condition (excavated condition) and measures 68mm long.
