This is a Greek Hellenistic pottery Jug, c. 4th - 3rd Century B.C. A jug with bulbous body, tapering neck, broad rim, strap handle to the rear and the body with traces of circumferential bands of orange pigment. Provenance: Private Derby antiquities collection. The artefact is in very fine condition, (some deposit to the top of the handle and part of the rim) and measures 100mm tall.
