This is a Greek Hellenistic pottery spindle flask, c. 4th - 3rd Century B.C. A perfume flask with an oval body tapering to a wide flat foot, some traces of a dark red colouring, and a tubular neck. Provenance: Private Derby antiquities collection. The artefact is in fine condition, (lip rim chipped and mostly missing) and measures 168mm tall.
