This is a large Amlash Spouted Vessel, North Iran, 13th-12th century B.C. A substantial ceramic ewer with carinated body, trumpet-style neck and rim, curved round-section spout, strap handle with thumb-pad and circumferential bands and waves to the neck. Provenance: From the collection of a deceased Japanese gentleman; 1970-2015. The artefact is in fine condition, weighs 2.2 kg and measures 315mm tall.
