This is an Early Anglo Saxon Lidded Pottery Bowl, c. 6th Century A.D. A clay bowl with a squat globular body, everted rim, a horizontal linear decoration around the body and the underside, a rounded base, a plain lid with a rounded rim and a circular handle. Excavated in Suffolk. Provenance: ex-Amanda Barrie Collection. The artefact is in fine condition and measures 113mm tall (including the lid) x 103mm in diameter.
