This is a late Anglo-Saxon Long Knife, 10th – 11th Century A.D. A single edged iron knife, a wide flat tang with several fixing holes to fit the handle. Excavated in Suffolk. Provenance: Acquired 1990s-early 2000s. East Anglian private collection. The artefact is in good condition, stable and measures 387mm long.
