This is an Anglo-Saxon Spindle Whorl, c. 7th - 9th century A.D. A cast biconical lead spindle whorl with large central hole and both surfaces displaying a line and dot decoration. Provenance: from an old Cheshire collection. The artefact is in fine condition and measures 30mm in diameter
