This is a carefully worked bifacial Neolithic blue grey flint Knife, c.3000 B.C. The artefact is fresh and sharp with minimal abrasion or post-depositional edge damage, re-chipped. The axehead was discovered at Swaffham, Norfolk, 1979. Provenance: Old Norfolk Collection, collected during 1960s. The artefact is in very fine condition and measures 44mm x 41mm.
