This is a carefully worked small bifacial Neolithic light grey flint Narrow Butt Axehead, c.3000 B.C. The artefact is fresh and sharp with minimal abrasion or post-depositional edge damage. The axehead was discovered at South Acre, Norfolk. Provenance: Old Norfolk Collection, collected during 1960s. The artefact is in very fine condition and measures 67mm long.
