This is a carefully worked bifacial Neolithic grey flint Thin Butt, Wide Curved Bladed Axehead, c.3000 B.C. The artefact is fresh and sharp with minimal abrasion or post-depositional edge damage. The axehead was discovered at South Acre, Norfolk. Provenance: Old Norfolk Collection, collected during 1960s. The artefact is in very fine condition (two chips on the blade) and measures 118mm long.
