This is a Neolithic Broken Polished Axe together with four Reduction Flakes, c. 3000 B.C. From a Shale Axe Factory Site, near Fisher Street, Doolin, County Clare, Ireland. Provenance: from a private Loughborough collection. The artefacts are in fine condition, the axe measures 45mm tall x 77mm wide and the flakes measure 89mm to 36mm.
