This is a Pre-Columbian Mayan Terracotta Vessel, 600 - 800 A.D. The vessel is a canteen shaped tan terracotta jar with an oval base leading up to a tall tapering spout with a central small disc in relief on both sides. Provenance: From an old Oxford, collection; formed before 1980. The artefact is in very fine condition with no evidence of repairs and measures 216mm tall.
